Dr. Walther was active in the Colorado Chiropractic Association (CCA). He served on the board of directors for many years. Following his presidency he developed and co-chaired the CCA's peer review committee for five years.

Dr. Walther's interest in applied kinesiology arose from his friendship with George J. Goodheart, DC. In the early 1960's Dr. Goodheart was George J. Goodheart, DCpublished in some of the chiropractic journals. His writings were on laboratory diagnosis and procedures as well as many other aspects of examination and treatment. To clarify some of the points Dr. Walther telephoned Dr. Goodheart and found an individual that was willing to share considerable information to this young doctor. As Dr. Walther states, “I found an individual that I could learn more from in a short period than from going to a weekend seminar. I tape recorded the phone conversations and than studied the information and called again in a couple of weeks. This went on for a year or two.”

Dr Goodheart taught his first lecture on applied kinesiology at the inaugural meeting of the American Chiropractic Association in Denver Colorado. This was the first of many trips to state conventions and other meetings where Dr. Goodheart was lecturing.

In 1974 Dr. Walther joined with Dr. Paul White to teach applied kinesiology. This let to developing syllabi, notes, slides, and workbooks for the lectures.

Dr. Walther has lectured throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia. He continues to practice in Pueblo, Colorado although on a restricted time schedule.
