PE-744

Brochure PE-744 The muscles that move the knee joint also support it. If there is imbalance in the muscles, the knee is vulnerable to injury and wear and tear.

Knee examination must include how the knee functions within the total body system. Foot and ankle function from below and  pelvic balance from above affect the knee.

Muscle interaction as in reactive muscles is discussed.

Osteoarthritis in the knee is more than the wear and tear of weight-bearing. Knee strain from muscular imbalance and gait dysfunction provides a major contribution to the wear and tear of the knee.
